Hosted at the Old Kent Barn, taking on the spirit of the American mid-West, styling inspired by the arid red sandy tones of the Wyoming desert.
Organisers behind the shoot Rebecca Brennan-Brown and Kylie Christie talks us through the inspiration behind the shoot and the local suppliers involved:
“We wanted to take the popular boho trends one step further. The real star of this styling is texture; it was important to make sure that in every image there was a mix of contrasting qualities. From varying heights of grasses to the perfectly placed fur throws, every element added to the depth and movement of the shoot. We used natural cotton branches and faux calf skin as a nod back to the Western design, noted again later in the bride’s cowboy boots.
“Keeping the palette neutral added to the impact throughout this shoot, with the bark table runner echoing the wooden beams, and dried lunaria mirroring the bride’s beautiful porcelain skin. Warm lighting and cool whiskey and cigar bar took the styling into the night.”
