The Bell Hotel

HOTEL, PUBLIC HOUSE AND RESTAURANT

Venue details:

Sandwich claims to be Britain’s most complete medieval town and The Bell Hotel, has been a focus for hospitality since a Bell Inn was first recorded in the 1300s.

The Bell Hotel is situated by the historical Barbican and Toll Bridge over the River Stour. The present grade 2 listed building has an elegant double height Regency Room, once used as the town’s Assembly Room, with deep original Georgian sash windows and Minstrels’ Gallery.

The head chef uses the freshest local ingredients simply cooked to bring out the fullest flavours. Choose from three different types of menus: a canapé selection, our buffet collection and a ‘table service’ menu. Seafood and fish from local day boats, local lamb and beef. Nothing too fussy and fancy, just the freshest ingredients simply cooked to bring out their fullest flavours. Our seasonal menus also always have an interesting selection of vegetarian choices. We offer wines from new regions that are never predictable including some outstanding English sparkling wine!
