COUNTRY HOUSE, SOMETHING DIFFERENT
At Lynsted Park old style grandeur blends effortlessly with a warm, down-to-earth feel. The whole place oozes originality, authenticity and charm. Steeped in history Lynsted Park was the sixteenth century seat of the Earls of Teynham. In more recent times it was home to the creator of Dr Who and the original Daleks were made in the walled garden! It is now a much-loved family house and wedding venue set in thirty acres of woodland, gardens and parkland, complete with a cricket pitch.
The family-run team at Lynsted Park understand each wedding is totally unique and that everyone has their own way of doing things. They give you the flexibility to manage your wedding just the way you want to. They also offer a supportive team of brilliant local suppliers who can help you tap into some truly wonderful Kentish produce and expertise. Sustainability is important to Lynsted Park and it celebrates everything local, from garden picked flowers to exquisite jewellers, wise wedding planners to brilliant bands.
Licensed ceremonies take place on the lawns of the sunken garden, a secluded spot surrounded by yew hedges, a lime tree walk and ancient Tudor walls. The South Room, in the house, is also available for ceremonies and offers a beautiful setting for smaller gatherings.
The gorgeous grounds make the perfect location for a reception, be it a traditional marquee, a festival of tents or an exotic yurt. Accommodation can be arranged at Lynsted Park in the Bridal Room or you could opt to spend your wedding night under the stars in a Bridal Yurt. The possibilities are endless. With only a limited number of weddings held annually, Lynsted Park is a truly exclusive, hidden-gem-of-a-place to get hitched.
