The only national nature reserve where you can stay overnight and are allowed to get married within, Elmley is a truly extraordinary place, with a stunning wild beauty and huge, evocative skies. A vast wilderness, yet, only an hour from London and based on an island in Kent, Elmley feels a world away from real life.

Elmley makes an utterly original setting for a wedding celebration. The 3,300-acre private estate and nature reserve act as a stunning backdrop for a wedding, with meadows, a beach and wilderness views. Kingshill Farm, with its lovingly restored farm buildings, sits at the heart of this 3,300-acre reserve, with a courtyard and more formal gardens to host outdoor ceremonies and drinks receptions. Couples have a choice of ceremony locations inside and outside.

Kingshill Barn is a magnificent Kentish barn; a huge-vaulted space with its original features intact. It provides a beautiful rustic space on a grand scale. The gable end window looks out onto an unspoilt view of water meadows and huge skies. There is space for 150 guests for a sit-down meal and up to 200 for the drinks reception.

Couples and their guests will have exclusive use of Kingshill Farm for 2 nights and it includes our award-winning accommodation, with our iconic shepherd’s huts and cabins that are regularly featured in the national and lifestyle press.
