Honeymoon: Spring Escapes

Spring Blooms: Tokyo

Spring time in Tokyo has become an extraordinarily significant destination thanks to the annual cherry-blossom festival. The celebration attracts many from near and far to Tokyo with the first-bloom of their cherry-blossom trees appearing in the city around the end of March. Explore pink hued parks before heading into the city to indulge in traditional sake and sushi.

City Romance: Paris

Prefer a destination closer to home? Paris in springtime is the ideal destination; just a couple hours’ journey on the Eurostar, there’s no need to battle through the airport check-in desk to get there. Enjoy the spring sunshine as you stroll hand in hand ticking off all those must-see landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame and the Louvre, before sitting down in a small café with a glass of Merlot to toast your new future together.

Chase the Sun: Cuba

If you are looking for a long haul destination where you can getaway and completely relax on white sandy beaches, with a Mojito in hand soaking up the Caribbean heat, then Cuba is best to visit during spring. With guaranteed sunshine, the months of March and April offer the best weather as the climate is hot but not overwhelming, with temperatures around 19ºC at night and 29ºC during the day. Indulge in traditional Caribbean feel-good food such as arroz con pollo (spicy marinated chicken with rice and beans), try something adventurous such as snorkelling or scuba diving in the turquoise sea, or explore the colourful historic town of Havana.
